Lugares para Surfear:
La Paloma Beach, towards the South by Route 11, at this entire zone we can find very good waves. (Big Beach), where the principal championships and summer events are organized. Alicante Beach and bordering ones, very accessible, with small waves to begin surfing. Northern Beaches. Ej. “Sun Riders” is one of the most known beaches, where different groups meet each other.

Bike Adventure
Alongside all Mar del Plata’s coast we can enjoy bike-tourism and Mountain Bike activities, being able to arrive at Parque Camet (Camet Park) or the cliffs; or through the route to Laguna de los Padres and Sierra de los Padres.

Climbing
Lugares con vías equipadas:
On the coast, Cabo Corrientes area, Playa Grande and others.
Boulder areas: Sierra de los Padres, Via Route 226, 20th Km: excellent boulder zone with over 200 problems. There’s a guide with all the information.
Vigilance Sierra.Via Route 226 (towards Balcarce) 45th Km. It is maybe the best Sport Climbing zone of Argentina. Recently opened to the public, it has more than 60 equipped roads -which go from 6th to 8th position in French scale- and the Refuge called “La Vigilancia” (“Vigilance”). .

Kayak

The kayaking is practised on the beaches along the entire coast, mainly in Cabo Corrientes and Cardiel Beach. Or making trips in close lagoons: Laguna de los Padres and La Brava (with the correspondent permissions). The AKM (Mar del Plata’s Kayakmen Association) functions as a school in EMDER’s Olympic swimming pool, where short lessons with practises in the lagoon are given.

In Sierra de los Padres there’s a private circuit for 4x4 vehicles, with embankments, fords and other obstacles in order to learn basic driving techniques. Moreover, in Parador El Alamo –towards the south on Route 11- activities and 4x4 journeys along the Atlantic coast or the dirt roads of the zone are organized.
On Route 2 and on sand dunes close to Chapadmalal (40 km. far), there are circuits for motocross, four tracks and jeeps

Sandboard
La práctica de este deporte alternativo se realiza con facilidad en los médanos que se forman en la zona de barrancos, donde se producen desniveles de 10 / 12 mts. hacia la playa. Algunos grupos de adeptos frecuentan el "arco" visible en La Serena, y en el área protegida por Green World, la Reserva San Jancinto; podemos contactar una escuelita de Sandboard.

Trekking - Escalada

- Zapatillas: deben ser impermeables para eliminar el sudor del pie y mantenerlo seco y con suelas de agarre.

- Remeras con mangas largas: para protección, sirven para mantener la temperatura y evitar la transpiración.

- Mochila: con sistema de hidratación, debe ser del tamaño justo que entre una remera de más, un rompevientos, un botiquín básico y algo de comida.

- Campera: debe ser impermeable y liviana.

- Calzas o pantalones lagos: especiales de montaña para evitar arañazos y no perder la temperatura.

Surf


Se recomienda precalentar antes de surfear, para evitar lesiones y desgarros.
